behaviors, enhancing their interpersonal relationships
while building on their professional strengths to achieve
better more sustainable results in the workplace. And we will
build lasting memories while doing it.
Five days of world-class sailing are coupled with business
skills development where you can expect:
- Engaging seminar instruction each morning (with breakfast)
and afternoon (squeezed in between swizzle time and dinner)
- Availability of instructors/facilitators for focused and
private one-on-one coaching and counseling
- All materials necessary to take full advantage of the
instruction and provide take-away tools for skills retention
and integration
- "Lifeboat Simulation" that focuses your people
on targeted goal setting, critical decision-making and effective
teaming in revealing ways that will amaze you
- STB sailing shirt for fun and coffee mug to keep at work
Plus… so much more!
First, while the Captain and crew prepare to make your sailing
experience memorable, we will be working with your leadership
to customize and personalize the program your people will participate
in…enthusiastically! This will require a ½ day
with your key leadership to "Chart the Course". Ideally
this 'diagnostic' is conducted three to six weeks prior to boarding.
Second, upon arrival and after your Windjammer Crew has provided
the indoctrination, cabin assignments and our sailing itinerary;
the PES professional staff will give participants the outline
of the program, course materials, gear, and an overview of what
they can expect to experience.
Third, let the learning and the games begin!
On the last evening, after dinner, we will have the commencement
exercises… Including the traditional 'drink your dolphins'
final exam.
There are normally 30 Windjammer Crew for handling the sailing
duties, meals, etc. for 60+ guests. If your company sends 30
participants along with their significant others we will have
three STB professional staff, and if there are 60 participants
without guests we will have six staff. The class instruction
is important, but the coaching and counseling during the sailing
days, plus tips and techniques for handling the simulation are
vital to successfully integrating and applying newly learned
behaviors upon return.
The curriculum will be customized from over 30 modules and cannot
be detailed until after we have charted your course for the
voyage by discovering your needs during the diagnostic. However
our modules draw from traditional business resource-to-results
development models. Some of the modules we will select from
include, but are not limited to:
- Decision Making in critical simulations
- Resource utilization in obtaining maximum results
- The anatomy and application of Successful Behaviors
- Communicating Successfully in the new Millennium
- Tracking, Position Fixing and Scorekeeping
- Coaching and Mentoring
- Harnessing the "Forces of Human Nature" to navigate
the treacherous waters of business
- Streaming & Teaming
Wishing you steady winds and smooth seas in your business
life.
